Senior Portraits in Redlands with Rebecca

Updated: Aug 26

When we were contacted by Rebecca and her Mom for High School Senior Portraits, we knew right away we wanted to work with this young women. The reason we wanted to work with her was simple. She is involved in singing and musical theater! (If you didn't know, majoring in music at the University of Redlands was how Shannon and I met!) We just knew we would have a lot in common and the senior portrait session would be fun. During the free phone consultation, we found out that Rebecca and her Mom love some cap & gown portraits and headshots (what aspiring performer doesn't need headshots). So actually we ended up scheduling two sessions one in the studio and one in Downtown Redlands, CA. Getting to know each other in the studio was great. I got to learn more about Rebecca and see how fun she was. It was a little bit of a change for me to be laughing and smiling rather than just working to make my client laugh!

While I always enjoy working with new folks, Rebecca was just fun! She is quirky and energetic. Not once did she have a hard time giving me a charming smile while she laughed to herself. Rebecca brought a few outfits for her outdoor session. The first outfit was well suited for the brick murals and gritty alleyways in that area. Making memories the whole time, Rebecca changed in our portable changing room set-up between two cars right on the main street! Then the second outfit worked perfectly with the softer plants and colorful umbrellas. Throughout the session we were having a great time. Rebecca was so great at getting into poses and making them fun! At one point we even used a vintage soda bottle I had as a prop for her to really show a carefree spirit raising above so much of the hardness we have all been experiencing! During her time in high school, Rebecca has been involved in clubs and making friends. So after the session she was headed out to an open mic - there aren't that many places to perform these days but she needs to stay sharp so she is ready to perform when she starts school at Cal-Baptist this fall majoring in, you guessed it, voice and theater!
